JAYATI GHOSH, a leading Marxist economist is a professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. In addition to her many scholarly works, she writes regular columns on economics and current affairs. She has been a member of the Knowledge Commission and is one of the founders of the Economic Research Foundation in New Delhi, a non-profit trust devoted to progressive economic research.
