Delhi: Why is Govt Silent on 30-Day MCD MTS Workers Strike?

Workers came out in support of nearly 5,000 MTS and DBC employees of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi who have been on strike for over a month.

Nearly 5,000 MTS (multi-tasking staff) and DBC (Domestic Breeding Checkers) employees of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) have been on strike for over a month. But neither the MCD administration nor the Central government has taken any concrete action so far.

In fact, on Thursday, the MCD administration directed the Delhi Police to forcibly remove the MTS (PH), DBC, CFW workers from the protest site in front of the Civic Centre.
