Trade unions held a demonstration in Delhi on Thursday demanding fixing of accountability for last month’s fire in a three-storey commercial building in Mundka village that left 27 workers dead. The forum of TUs demanded that the owners, officials, politicians responsible should be given exemplary punishment. They also demanded compensation of Rs 50 lakh each to the families of the deceased workers, and Rs 5 lkah each to the injured workers.
